Councillor Andy Simmons has represented Dulwich Wood since 2010, first elected alongside Helen Hayes, who is now our local Member of Parliament. He was first elected as a Southwark councillor in 1998.
Andy has a particular interest in housing, health, road safety and education and has previously been Chair of Governors at a local primary school. He is currently a member of the council’s Audit, Governance and Standards committee.
Andy is a hospital scientist and researcher by training and spent 20 years working at King’s College Hospital, the Maudsley and King’s College London. He currently works as a research manager and provides policy advice to our local MP Helen Hayes.
He lives locally in Dulwich with his family where his children attend local state schools.
