Laura has always lived in Southwark and grew up on the Rockingham Estate, near Elephant and Castle. She is a school governor at St Saviour’s and St Olave’s School and works for Europe’s largest education union as a Regional Officer, representing members and taking part in campaigns. Laura is a mother of two teenage boys, and was an elected parent governor at Charles Dickens Primary School, when they were pupils.  She is passionate about improving housing, youth services and adult social care in Southwark.
