Kimberly McIntosh

I’m Kimberly, and eight years ago I made Southwark my home and I’ve lived here ever since. I’ve spent the last five years doing research and campaigning on racial justice and child poverty. I’m particularly proud of my track record working on issues I care about like the ongoing Windrush scandal, the impact of austerity on BME communities and emergency payments for families on a low-income.

I grew up in a council and Housing Association homes, so the regeneration and maintenance of our estates is a top priority for me. The council’s increased involvement in the regeneration of the Aylesbury Estate has gotten good results so far, and as a councillor I’d work to make sure this continues. Improvements, maintenance and repairs on the Kinglake, Gateway, and Elizabeth estates and protecting Burgess park are another key focus. I’m honoured to be selected as a candidate in Faraday and will fight for residents.
