Jason has been a councillor in Southwark for St Giles, Camberwell since 2018, in which time he has championed local issues around business, jobs, planning, serious youth violence, the environment, and scrutiny of council decisions.  Jason was born and raised in Southwark, attending nursery, primary and secondary school in the borough. He is particularly interested in connecting young people from disadvantaged communities with opportunities that are not often afforded to them – he has sought to help address this through is current role as cabinet member for jobs, business and town centres.
