Train companies aim to close over 150 railway station ticket offices across
London. This is an unfair and false economy that is being imposed by the Tory
government.

Southwark Labour is calling on the government to halt this sham consultation
and come clean on the damage these closures will do. The closures will impact
passengers at Queens Road Peckham, Peckham Rye, South Bermondsey,
Nunhead, North Dulwich, East Dulwich, South Dulwich, Sydenham Hill,
Blackfriars, Denmark Hill and Elephant and Castle. Railroading this plan through
without consideration for disabled passengers, the elderly, and others only risks
exacerbating the managed decline of the rail network.
