Your London Bridge & West Bermondsey Labour Councillors have set up a petition to save the post office on Borough High Street.

It was announced late last year that several post offices were due to close and this one was earmarked as one of those. We know that the local Post Office branch is invaluable for many of you, offering an in-person service where you can not only carry out your normal Post Office activities, but also do banking and withdraw cash. With local banking branches having closed in recent times, the Post Office has become an even more important place to do these things. 

Digital exclusion is an ever greater risk in the world we now live, and we need to ensure residents have different options for where they do banking and access other services – not only online.
